We at Kitchen Connect are so excited to be moving into 2023 on a steady track; construction of the kitchen is on schedule, and we'll be pouring the floors within a week, then we begin framing. Once framing is complete we move into the final stages of building this kitchen and will begin equipment installation and calibration, which we anticipate will take us into the end of March, with a soft opening the beginning of April.
We'll keep you updated of course, and look forward to working with you once we're up and running; thank you for standing alongside us on this journey towards a sustainable local food system! Please spread the word to your processor friends, and let them know we'll have a space for them to grow their businesses very soon!"

Coming Soon to Our Kitchen Connect Space!
Chamber Pasteurizer Our new Chamber Pasteurizer will be able to create shelf stable products with the capacity up to 360 one L bottles.
How it works: The sprinkling water is heated by an external heating source and continuously pumped in a circle. The special injection tubes or irrigation pans achieve an even and effective heating of all containers. After the pasteurization process is finished, freshwater feeding cools the temperature down. In the steam chamber pasteurizer, bottles in boxes on pallets can be pasteurized with hot steam. All parameters for the temperature increase, as well as the holding time of the pasteurizing temperature, can be flexibly adjusted.
Silverson Blending Plant
Here’s a sneak peak at the Silverson Blending Plant. The action of any Silverson In-Line mixer can be modified with the use of rapidly interchangeable workheads. This enables any machine to mix, emulsify, homogenize, solubilize, suspend, disperse and disintegrate solids. Capacity: 100 gallons
Kitchen Connect Processing Initiative Event
2022 has kept the Kitchen Connect team busy. The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Lana Popham opened our processing initiative event with a pepper cutting ceremony with CRFAIR Executive Director Linda Geggie and local farmer Ty James. The event highlighted our retail foods, and brought together the food hub community, its farmers and local food supporters.
We appreciate your support and look forward to moving onto our next step for construction of the facility in the next several months.
